Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:

Leave from Marrakech and drive to the town of Demnate in the Middle Atlas to view its olive groves. Cross over the Imi Ifri natural bridge and continue to the waterfall at Ouzoud. There are short hiking trails from here.

Overnight: Ouzoud

Day 2:              

A long drive with changing scenery over the Middle Atlas will take us to Azrou to see Barbary Apes. Continue further to Fez.

Day 3:

Guided tour of the ancient Imperial City of Fez. Explore the old city on foot, entering through one of its beautiful archways. Visit the Place el Nejjarine with its mosaics, the large Kairaouine Mosque, the Jewish quarter, Madrassa Bou Inaria and other sights. See leather being produced at the Chouaras tanneries.

Day 4:

Visit the Imperial City of Meknes where we visit the fortifications, royal stables and beautiful tomb of Moulay Ismail. Then continue to Chefchaouen.

Day 5:

Recommend to explore the town with its blue and whitewashed buildings and narrow alleys. Afternoon transfer over the Rif mountains to Tangier.

Day 6:

Visit the town of Tangier stopping at the Caves of Hercules and the lighthouse at Cap Spartel. Continue to the Spanish influenced beach town of Asilah, en route to Rabat.

Day 7:

Morning tour of Morocco’s capital, Rabat. Visit the ruins at the Chellah Necropolis, the Hassan Tower, the mausouleums of King Mohammed V and Hassan II. Continue to Casablanca to view the Hassan II mosque at the ocean’s edge. Transfer to El Jadida and Oualidia on the Atlantic coast.

Overnight: Oualidia Oasis | Breakfast included

Day 8:

Visit the fishing village of Oualidia and then continue to Safi, famous for its pottery. Transfer to Eassaouira. Rest of day at leisure.

Overnight: Essaouira | Breakfast included

Day 9:

Explore Essaouira’s beach and medina. Afternoon drive past Agadir through the citrus rich Souss Valley to Taroudant.

Overnight: Taroudant | Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 10:

Explore the lovely medina at Taroudant. Then travel to the saffron town of Taliouline, to a Berber carpet Ourzazate and finally to Ouarzazate.

Overnight: Ouarzazate | Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 11:

Travel through the fertile Draa River Valley, past date palm oasis and Berber villages. Continue to Zagora.

Overnight: Zagora | Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 12:

Travel from the Draa Valley through to desert landscapes ending at Merzouga. Camel trek through the desert to a tented camp.

Overnight: Erg Chebbi | Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 13:

Camel trek back to Merzouga and after a shower and breakfast, continue by vehicle to the gorges at Todra and Dades.

Overnight: Dades Gorge | Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 14:

Visit the landscapes created by the Dades Gorge. Continue through the Valley of Roses, onto the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and Skoura Oasis. Stop at the fortified village at Ait Ben Haddou. Cross the dramatic High Atlas mountains to reach Marrakech.
